Meet the Merchants: Aisha, Graphic Designer

In this month's edition of our Meet the Merchants Series we chat to Aisha, our Graphic Designer. Read on to find out more about what her role entails and her favourite part of working at MG!

Name:

Aisha Orme

Job Title:

Graphic Designer

How long have you been at MG?

7 months

Explain your job in one or two sentences.

I develop and execute all the creative outputs for MG, including the packaging, marketing assets and social posts. Ensuring it is all within the brand look and feel, as well as helping define MG's position within the exciting plant-based world.

Talk us through a typical day at MG.

My role differs day-to-day, from working on designing new product packaging to creating a post for Instagram. All the creative is done in-house, so I live and breathe the brand guidelines to ensure all outputs have a consistent look and feel. Once a week, I work with a freelance designer who helps me create the bigger design work, such as upcoming campaigns.

What’s the best part about working at MG?

Being able to think about food all day and actually get paid for it… But seriously - the love the team has for the brand and food! We are all driven by the same mission to inspire more people to eat more plants!

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role?

Staying creative, it can be difficult being the only full-time designer in the team but fortunately, as I work on a large range of projects I’m always able to mix up my day when I don’t feel my most creative.

What's the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

No one is you, and that is your power.

You’re stuck on an island for one week and you can take an unlimited supply one of MG product. What are you taking?

Tomatoey French for suuuure!

Describe your death row dinner.

Vegan pizza from Purezza –“The Pepperoni One” with vegan chilli mayo and a pint of Camden Hells.
