Competition Terms and Conditions
Full Terms and Conditions:
- Competition open to UK entrants only, aged 18 or over, excluding employees and their immediate families of Leathams Ltd, their agents, associates and anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
- Entry into the competition is acceptance of these terms and conditions by the participant
- Competition commences 05/12/2011 and closing date for receipt of entries is midnight 21/12/2011.
- No purchase necessary – for an equal chance of winning you can also enter by post, by sending the correct answer with your name, address, date of birth and contact telephone number to: Merchant Gourmet Chestnut Competition, Leathams Ltd, 227-255 Ilderton Road, London, SE15 1NS. Entries received without all details will not be valid.
- Prize is three Merchant Gourmet hampers (one per winner) and three winners will be selected by Alex Mackay as the best for style, inventiveness and taste. The winners will be chosen no later than Thursday the 22nd December 2011
- No purchase necessary.
- No cash or other alternative can be substituted for any prizes.
- The decision of the promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The main prize winner will be notified by 22nd December 2011. If the winner cannot be contacted within 28 days of the closing date the promoter reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a substitute winner.
- To enter please submit the recipe, a photograph and your contact details including name, postal address, telephone number and age, via email, Twitter or Facebook
- By entering into the competition all participants are giving their permission for Leathams Ltd from time to time and at its absolute discretion to contact the participants.
- Information collected from this competition will not be passed onto 3rd party businesses outside of the competition promoter.
- Incomplete entries or those not in accordance with the entry instructions are deemed as invalid and no further correspondence will be entered into.
- No bulk or third party entries will be accepted.
- No responsibility can be taken for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged, illegible, or undelivered for any reason. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt or of prize entitlement.
- Winners may be required to take part in reasonable publicity resulting from this promotion, as required by the promoter.
- By entering this competition you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions and you will be bound by them. Acceptance of these terms and conditions and promotional instructions is a condition of entry.
- The promoter reserves the right to amend, cancel, terminate or withdraw the promotion, if deemed necessary due to circumstances outside of their reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
- The Promoter cannot be held responsible for the failure of a third party to fulfil its obligations in connection with this promotion, although the Promoter will always endeavour to minimise the affect on the entrant of such failure.
