Announcing wheatberries
Ever heard of wheatberries before? If the answer is no then by way of an introduction they are the whole grain form of wheat (the whole grain before it has undergone any processing). They are delicious, golden wheat grains, easy to cook in just 25 minutes and perfect for a meal any time of the year.
Wheatberries have a subtle creamy and nutty flavour and are really versatile as they can be used instead of rice or pasta. Sometimes called pasta wheat, wheatberries are whole durum wheat grains which are used to make the flour used in pasta.
Launching into stores nationwide from early March, these grains will be ready for spring so you can add a real depth to your salads.
