Better than having your cake and eating it
Our trio of new product developers; Holly, Holly and Carys did themselves proud in October when we took part in the ‘The Worlds biggest coffee morning’, in aid of Macmillan’s Cancer Support.
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event. The campaign encourages people across the UK to hold a coffee morning, taking donations to support all the good work Macmillan are doing.
Last year 43,000 people signed up to hold a coffee morning, raising over £8 million. This month we wanted to do our bit to help change the lives of people affected by cancer.
The girls baked a range of cakes including; chocolate chestnut fridge cakes, orange polenta biscuits and quinoa muffins. All the recipes featured at least one Merchant Gourmet ingredient and they very quickly became the most popular team in the office!
All the hard work paid off though as they managed to raise a fantastic £150 on cake sales for Macmillan - Good work ladies!
