These Whole Chestnuts retain much of their natural, firm texture and sweet flavour. Hand selected and prepared, they are gently roasted, peeled, then immediately vacuum packed to seal in all of their delicious flavour, texture and freshness.

Roasted and ready to use, our Whole Chestnuts work well in both savory and sweet dishes. In Europe they are often found to be used as a substitute for potatoes or pasta, which is due to their high starch content.

These Whole Chestnuts can be eaten hot or cold and they are delicious when simply roasted, especially at Christmas time! Fry them gently in melted butter and add a little cinnamon, salt and pepper. Or mix into creme fraiche, whipped cream and vanilla sugar for a sweet tartlet filling.

They can be used in stews, stuffings, or very simply as a low fat snack. You can use them chopped in baking - they give a very tasty twist to brownies and muffins! Our Whole Chestnuts also work particularly well with brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots and mushrooms.
